Veneto Boutique Hotel

This was my favorite room in ALL of Greece! Not only that but my very favorite staff. Anastasia truly is an angel!!! I’ve never had such a wonderful hostess in all my travels. She took care of every need I could imagine… best restaurant in town… even Including helping my dad with his backpack after our stay. Her kindness and attention to detail is unsurpassed! Manos and Rafael made sure I had a wonderful dinner the second night. I wish I could have stayed longer but fully booked. Don’t miss this gem!

The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the beautiful old building had vintage decorations. The room was spacious with a special atmosphere, and every request was efficiently responded to. The air conditioning worked well, and the room was already cool when we arrived. Additionally, the breakfast was very good. We traveled by car and parked at the Vanacian Harbour parking, which is only a few minutes' walk from the hotel. The parking fee was approximately 10 euros per night.

Wow, our experience at Veneto was truly above and beyond! Literally every aspect of the experience was the high quality I am always hoping for, but am definitely not always lucky enough to find. Every member of the staff from reception to doorman to dining was incredibly welcoming with a very relaxed energy, making me feel at home and as though the hotel must be a good place to work. The room was beautiful and unique, with a fabulous shower, comfortable bed, and gorgeous balcony overlooking the courtyard. The location could not be better. Of course, Rethymno is an old city so if you arrive by car, then parking takes some effort, but there is free street parking if you’re lucky, and if not, a nice paid parking place at STS Parking Old Town is a 3 minute walk from the hotel. The cost is €20 every 24 hours; very well worth it to be located in the center of Rethymno’s old town, within walking distance of so many beautiful restaurants and shops and of course the fortress and beach. For dining, the hotel’s own restaurant is excellent - one of the best meals of our entire 2 month trip around Greece in every category; food, drinks, atmosphere, and service. We were blown away! I had the oxtail truffle gnocchi with a rakimelito to drink and both could not have been better. I will certainly return on my next trip to Crete and recommend Veneto to friends and family. This property was extremely close to the port, restaurants and shopping. The hotel itself is a literal gem! The history behind the hotel is so intriguing and the renovations done to this property is phenomenal! Gorgeous decor and construction! My husband and I were impressed with just how picturesque this hotel was. And the garden dining area was amazing! So serene! Breakfast at the hotel was a culinary treat! So many options for both my husband and I who are vegetarian. The food was so fresh! Thank you!

We stayed at the Veneto Boutique Hotel for a week in March. The Hotel is located in the Old Town and is in a perfect position for a stroll along the sea front with many bars and restaurants on your doorstep. The hotel itself is lovely and the staff were very friendly indeed. Breakfast was between 8am and 10am each morning and consisted of a wide spread of fruit, Cereals, cold meats and cheeses, pastries and a hot section consisting of fried eggs, scrambled eggs and bacon. Fresh fruit juices, tea and filter coffee are also available. The room we stayed in was of a good size with a double bed and separate sofa, seating area, with a small coffee table. There was a TV in the room and also a fridge. Tea making facilities were also in the room with a small kettle for that ever important brew. The bathroom was very nice with a separate shower, vanity sink, and toilet. The room also had air-conditioning which in our case, helped to warm the room as it was a cold wet week. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, and I don't doubt we will be booking again in the future. Well done, Veneto Boutique Hotel.
